The Colorado Horse Park Announces Marion Maybank as New Director of Operations

For Immediate Release

Parker, CO - February 1, 2018 - The Colorado Horse Park (CHP) will move into the 2018 show season under the leadership of Marion Maybank, who has served as Show Manager for the Summer in the Rockies Series for the past four seasons, as she has accepted the new role of Director of Operations at the facility beginning immediately.
Maybank brings with her a wealth of horse show knowledge, beginning her equestrian involvement in the hunter competition ring when she was a child. Maybank served as the Hunter, Equitation, and Collegiate Director for the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) for six years. During her time at USEF, Maybank worked on organizing substantial horse show events, including Pony Finals, Junior Hunter Finals East and West, USEF Medal Finals, Hunter Breeding Finals, and NCAA (now NCEA Championships).
"We first off, we would like to thank Meg Krueger for her dedicated efforts in Colorado for the past three years and wish her well on her new ventures in the equestrian space," said Michael Stone, President of The Colorado Horse Park. "Marion has been an integral member of the CHP team for the past few seasons and we felt that she was the right person to oversee the next chapter of the venue. We're looking forward to many more successful seasons at CHP and believe that Marion will be a driving force in expansion of equestrian sport in the region."
Marion Maybank has accepted the position of Director of Operations for The Colorado Horse Park effective immediately.
In 2010, Maybank decided to continue to expand her horse show management passion and started her own horse show management company. Her work has since taken her all over the country, relocating from South Carolina to Colorado in 2015.

Maybank will continue to manage the Summer in the Rockies Series, a highlight at the venue each summer, which will begin on June 6, 2018, and continue through July 22, 2018.

"It's an honor to be able to take on the role of Director of Operations here at The Colorado Horse Park. I fell in love with Colorado the moment I arrived and CHP has become an important venue to me," said Maybank. "There is an incredible opportunity and I am very excited for this new adventure. I will continue to work to create a unique and competitive atmosphere here at CHP and am eager to step into this leadership role at one of our country's most iconic competition venues."
The 2018 season at The Colorado Horse Park will formally begin in early spring with the start of the Spring in the Rockies hunter/jumper competitions before transitioning to the Summer in the Rockies Series in the summer months. Dressage competition is set to begin in late spring and the venue will welcome the 2018 United States Eventing Association American Eventing Championships in August.
